I am a visual storyteller committed to producing compelling and intimate stories in both the still and moving image. I tell stories that are primarily focused on exploring the human experience within a wide range of social, cultural and environmental contexts.
Drawing on my background in community development and visual communication, I have developed a unique practice and approach to my work as a visual storyteller and communications strategist. Over the past decade I have worked in more than 40 countries for a large number of international organisations and institutions especially within the development, education, health, humanitarian and research sectors.
Placing equal emphasis on the process of working with people and the importance of delivering meaningful stories, I have developed a distinctive style in which I can offer a reflexive and individualised way of working. I regularly collaborates with a team of communicators to provide a rich breadth of meaningful content for his clients.
I am currently finalising my research based thesis to complete my Masters in Communication for Development at Malmo University. In the future I hope to incorporate more of my own research into the visual storytelling work I do for clients and explore new ways to connect with communities and support them to be actively involved in their own representation.
Below is a short film that explains my approach to visual communications.
