It’s Raining Outside

For more than eight years I spent a great deal of my young adult life in Iran, often visiting for months at a time and also living for year-long stints in the capital Tehran. With this stage of life now in the past, I am beginning to produce a series of work from Iran that explores what it meant to be an outsider.

Often it is assumed that being a foreigner is quite static however across Iran’s diverse social, religious and economic classes that certainly wasn’t the case. It’s Raining Outside is a work-in-progress and this series on my website will be updated over time.
